It’s turning into a bit of a saga this, but I am finally going out to the W562 on Monday and have realised I forgot about looking for a tub seal. In my defence I’ve only ever done one bearing job and that was on an AEG that had the bearings on a cross member outside the tub, and thought somehow this was going to be the same.
Turns out tub seals for a W562 are like gold dust, and about the same price as said gold dust! That would completely kill the job as customer’s budget is not that high.
I found the following post which attracted exactly 0 reply, but was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about doing a bearings job on a Miele without changing the tub seal?

Basically he reused the old seal as new seals were leaking.
