Miele W5964WPS (55/116204308) washing machine leaking from dispenser

Good afternoon all,

The above washing machine leaks badly from the dispenser drawer front when filling, and I would like to be sure that I’m not overlooking something, prior to quoting for expensive replacement dispenser and drawer parts.

I’ve had a good look at the above, and the drawer closure is very good/tight, and checked for blockages in the dispenser to tub hose.

Water fills into the tub perfectly, and when the water leaks out from the drawer front, I stopped the machine, and there is no/very little water in the dispenser compartments.

So, I suspect that the drawer to the dispenser’s main body is not sealing, as several other makes and models are prone to…

Looking at the parts diagram, I see that there is a “concertina hose” Part No: 5706041 which I imagine is a breather hose, and may be clogged?

long shot try just slowing the water down a bit by closing the tap

I’ve not seen any dispenser issues on these older Miele’s.
I would suggest it could be the dispenser tub hose, or the black hose from the filter chamber to the y joiner is blocked thus not allowing air balance.
before changing any parts, I would check and clear all the hoses attached to the y joiner. That would be my first go to.
