A request from an old friend, I don’t do much if anything on miele machines, not been out to it yet.

Says mains indicator will not come on, machine just stopped mid cycle, possibly during rinses.

Fuse OK, power to PCB, he mentioned something about a reset involving a ‘shut off valve’ or something.

Anything obvious we need to look out for?

some mieles have a 6.5 built in fuse i think near module in door or next to mains inlet. check doorlock and wires aswell.

Most Miele dont come to life until the door is closed. Maybe an interlock fault 😕

Hi Jim, Have had some open circuit netural contacts on push button switch.
Switch is double pole, live in on terminal 9 out terminal 11. Netural in on terminal 10 out on terminal 15. This would give live at PCB but no power lights . Should be wiring sheet inside machine. Regards clayside

Thanks folks, will pop along and have a look. I wouldn’t normally get involved with these but their daughter and mine went to the same infant/junior school and were very good friends at the time.

Sorted, it was a dry solder joint on the back of the small push button PCB.

Customer had already priced this tiny 4 x 1 inch board and was informed that it was well over £100. 😯
