Miele W821 W/M Rinse Hold error code

[Poppins]

This machine is flashing the rinse hold light when it is about to spin.

Does anyone know what code it is?

Rinse l.e.d flashing denotes drive failure, check the usual, carbon brushes, cable connection to motor etc.

Thanks for that Seamy.
It must be cable then as it doesn’t always have a problem spinning although I will check the brushes as a matter of course anyway.
Do you know if it can be affected by the door interlock as I suspect there is a problem there as it doesn’t always engage when trying to close the door and consequently the ON light doesn’t come on? I was wondering if this could be happening in the cycle. I few flicks of the catch seems to do the trick when it plays up.

door may just need a smear of grease on latch/catch, just check that door pull cord that goes down to filter door isn’t catching on anything as this can cause fault described

Do you know if Miele carbon brushes are easy to get hold of? I haven’t been able to find any type on Connect, Qualtex or Europarts.

Carbon brushes 4297412.

Listed on Connect but special order only, part number not recognised by Qualtex I’m afraid 🙁

Don, is this the part number for the brushes for this specific Miele model or is it the same across them all? I havn’t seen many!! 🙁
