Miele W827 noisy

Machine sounds like a jack hammer when spinning and bits of rubber coming off the seal (quite a new seal so not perished). Put a new set of dampers on and no different. Bearing seems smooth when turning by hand. Any suggestions? TIA.

the drum is held up by a 3 legged spider

this is one off an LG machine to give you an idea

over time the legs corrode and if one fractures then on spin the drum twists and goes out of true and contacts the door rubber

checked Miele site and the spider looks like part of the inner drum at about £500 ish
