Fills and begins to agitate, then about ten mins in it stops. Pressing the door release button starts it off again and it continues to wash but then doesn’t drain. Pressing the door release again has no effect so I think that at this point customer says she has to select drain and start it again. Apparently it is heating but seems not to go through rinse cycles.

I’m guessing door interlock. I’ve been out to this before and re-soldered PCB for the door release or on/off button (can’t remember which). Examined these again when customer reported this new problem but could not see any problems here.

Customer very hard up after a difficult few yrs and is reluctant to pay for a used interlock if it turns out not to be the fault.

    Any ideas folks?

Have you checked (meggered) the heater?

But it works doesn’t it? By opening and closing the door you’re only resetting the programme again don’t you reckon?

    Hi Martin,

Apparently, pressing the door release button doesn’t open the door – it just starts it agitating again, however I do take your point and I will inspect the heater. Thank you.
