Miele w829 washing machine

Anyone tell me how to get at the circuit board on this machine?

Have removed the 3screw from behind soap drawer, and the 1 at top right hand corner of machine..
Can’t see anymore, and don’t want to risk breaking this…

Although its my own machine bought off eBay…rinse light flashing!
Have checked brushes, blockages, etc.. And found a post on here bun”incognito” that mentions the motor switching really RK1. On the board, along with the 6.3amp radial fuse…

dont know this machine exactly but have a w526

to get board out you have to remove front panel
to remove panel
pull off knob
now you have to remove the control panel perspex bit only
panel moves down ( its on 2 very small springs ) and then comes out at the top
screws are behind panel to take out pcb

hope its the same

“bun incognito” Are they tasty, these unidentifiable cakes?

I think this is the older type where you swing open the whole front after removing the 10mm head bolts round the door seal front and undoing the screws at the bottom of the front panel. The whole fascia area stays in place on the swung out front panel and you can then see how to remove it. Pretty sure the W500 series are newer and are as Dave describes. I presume you got to the brushes through the bottom which must have been a bit of a pain. It’s difficult enough with the front open.

Lol, ok I have now switched off auto bloody correction on my ipad…
Hopefully should have fewer spelling mistakes from now on..

Anyway.. Thanks for the info about the whole front panel swinging out..
I shall also give that a try..

Getting at the brushes from underneath, was suprisingly easy, once i worked out how the back end of the motor came off..

Hopefully its the RK1 relay, as described by “incognito” in his post..

One thing is for sure, these machines are built like a tank, this one is 12 years old..and the bearings are like new on it…previous owner swears she has never had it looked at since she purchased it from new Oct 2000

You were right mike..

Take the 3 bolts out from around door boot, then the 3 screws around soad drawer housing.. Then one at top right of machine..unclip at bottom left under drain flap… And it all swings out left to right..

Thermal fuse has blown and the motor relay… Few quid and it should work fine..

You will find you are best destroying the old relay with fine sidecutters before trying to desolder it as it’s nigh impossible to extract otherwise. And as there are one or two tiny tracks below it you have to do that carefully.
Oh and don’t forget to check the suspas. Whilst it can be just a one-off due to an overload / unbalance it can also be that the suspas are done for. It isn’t really noticeable until you remove one and compare it with a new one. Europart were cheapest source last time I looked.

Ok,will prob use a solder sucker or braid to aid removal of solder…

How about the waste hose on these machines, will a standard hose fit on.. The small pipe outlet ?Or is it a miele hose only…

Update

Miele now working again

It was the contacts on the RK1 relay..welded together!
also the radial fuse, was blown,both came out quite easily, with the aid of a solder sucker & some copper braid…
