    I have a Miele W842 which is about 14years old. Serial No.Nr 00/47133300
    It recently started vibrating and making a loud banging sound on the spin cycle only. I have fitted new bearings and seal, but this has not cured the problem. Can you advise what the problem may be, and how to cure it?

    If you are sure that the bearings are ok, and there is no play in the drum, then your next step, is to check all four of the top springs supporting the drum are intact, if they are ok then you need to repalce the shock absorbers.

    Thanks Martin
    The bearings are new and the springs are intact, so I’ll order some shocks and give that a try.
