miele W844

Rare beast in these parts needing carbons.Europart list them as 12ML-09.Whats the best procedure to change them, Ive tipped the machine on its back for access underneath.Can I access them from here or do I have to remove the motor?

think i know which one you have got and if i am right do the following

there should be 3 x 10mm bolts in the door opening if there is undo these
pull out soap draw, undo 2 torx 20 screws either side of soap draw opening. undo torx 20 screw soap draw opening left hand side. open filter housing and unclip plastic drain tube
the whole front of the machine will hinge out after unclipping metal clip at bottom left

now remove kick strip ( 2 screws)
unplug motor and remove outer cover ( 2 screws )

undo the rest of the screws on plastic plate on rear of motor. carefully remove and you have access to the brushes

when you refit brushes are captive in holders. after fitting you have to push something down the brush tubes and push till you hear brushes go click ( i use a small allen key )

plug it all back in and away you go

its a bit tight getting covers off and back but can be done with care
