ParticipantHello,
I have an issue with my washing machine. It’s a Miele W844.
Here is a short video to understand it better : https://youtube.com/shorts/y4ckfBm9w9c?feature=shareAs you can see, during the washing program, the drum can’t spin. It’s trying but just cannot in the end. But if I select manually the wringing program for example, it’s working and the drum is spinning without issue !
I already :
– changed one fuse and one relay on the electronic card as there is a recurrent failure on this model, i had this issue a few years ago and I was thinking it was the same, but apparently no– changed the two shock absorbers, they were really worn out
– changed the motor brushes (i got a bit of noise after that. they need to bed, i checked and they are in the good direction)
after all of this, the machine worked for 2 loads, and then, same problem again.
I spent some time trying to fix this old lady (23 years!) and it’s still not working ! I’m really curious about this now.
Please, if you have any idea, i would be glad to hear about it !Have a nice day and a great 2023 year

ParticipantHello Dave,
at first, when I put the new brushes, there was indeed a clicking sound when the drum was turning. It has disappeared now and I was thinking it might come from the new brushes as they were adjusting?
Here is a video I took when I switched manually on the wringing program : the drum was spinning well : https://youtube.com/shorts/l5g_pwzapYE?feature=share at the end you can hear a bit of high pitch noise
Here is a video of me spinning the drum to see if there is weird noise (and I think it’s fine ?) : https://youtube.com/shorts/MNbN9KzWtbA?feature=share
thank you for your help,

Moderatorwell it does not seem to have any major problems
double check your connections to the motor card you removed and fixed
double check the brushes. seems odd it worked for 2 loads then nothing. was thinking a brush was not making contact all the way round and sticking in the holder
