Miele W863 Inlet light flashing

Guys another Miele problem.

Customer reported it as not draining ! Got to site problem was i would start to fill, just about see the water in the door then it would flash inlet light and pump out !! Tried it on a spin, no motor action and rinse light flashing. Checked brushes, pretty worn, one especially. Replaced brushes, spins up fine !! but still have this inlet problem. Should the pins on the 4 pin male connector read about 4meg ohm across two pairs of pins ? I ask because I would expect or are two of them in series to one pair of pins – I get 4meg ohm on one pair and 8meg ohm on other pair – seems like they are but thought I would check as they are hugely expensive !!

Any other thoughts ?

is it filling quick enough?

try adding water through soap draw at the same time as it fills

Thanks for reply dave. As you look at draw no water is coming to right hand side, would you expect all valves to be open on ?

no its more about the speed of the fill. as the valves age the rubbers split and the fill speed slows down. if it does not fill in a given time it goes into fault mode

Will get the customer to try before I buy the valve – how do you suggest they fill it, with a slow running hosepipe maybe ?

I have to admit the machine was full of clothes when I was there so the water did show in the window pretty quickly.

Hi Dave, tried the water dumping trick – still same error, machine fills but after about 3″ secs check inlet flashes and jumps to final/crease guard and pumps out ?

i would check pressure switch and hose for blockages and air leaks
