miele w916 spins ok with no load but with load acts unbalanc

been to a miele w916 washer today found the rinse light flashing 1+2 replaced carbon brush set, put it back together spins and washes perfect. but with a load in the drum it wont do a revolution of the drum it just judders back and forth like its unbalanced
is there a balance sensor on this machine its 26 years old the customer is insistant it is repaired !!
can anyone shed any light please thanks :eeek:

were the brushes worn down? Is this the type with the brushes in a removable module on the back of the motor? If so have the pins located correctly into their sockets in the coils? Don’t want to state the obvious but is the belt tight?

yes the brushes where dead. The module that holds the brushes was on correct i removed it three times every time i refitted it it would spin without a load but not with.
The belt was also tight no movement after all those years
i looked at the armeture there was no pieces missing !!
THanks for the input though i was still there at 730 pm last night !!!

if its the armature
it does not need a piece missing just a damaged coil to oscillate instead of turn
with no load motor will skip the faulty segment no problem but under load it wont

Hi and thanks have now spoken with the customer it now works on every cycle except delicates and heavy loads ????
He wants to try a second hand module what are your thoughts ????? Thanks again
