miele w916 tap light coming on

Water comes in slowly and then red light comes on.
So changed valve for qualtex valve val 42
Now valve just buzzes and even less water comes in

Is it likely to be that I need a genuine miele valve that is about £70 or could the qualtex valve be faulty

Also this is the type with aquastop valve.

Any help appreciated.

then maybe its the aquastop valve gone? Be careful with Miele valves though as some are 125 volt coils. Would suggest connecting a normal fill hose to the inlet valve in the machine but you have to leave the aquastop valve connected electrically to prove if its works or not, if it then fills fine then its the aquastop valve at fault and even more £££
