Miele W919 inlet valve faulty?

The above machine was partially filled then flashed the ‘check inlet filter light’.

When i got to the customers, tarted the machine that to start with,wouldn’t fill so I opened the case for the inlet valve fitted to the tap to check, and it started to fill, now I can’t reproduce the fault, it works every time when testing.

I am assuming this has to be a faulty inlet valve but when looking through the forums some threads suggest this is a secondary valve in case the first should fail.

The part number for the inlet valve supplied by Miele was 1678013 which according tho Connect is a triple valve which ties into what is mentioned in the threads.

Can someone confirm if this machine does in fact have 2 inlet valves and confirm the part number for the valve that fits to the tap?

The W919 has two types of water intake. The standard is normal three way valve at 220 volt with just the valve in side machine Part no 1678013.

The other type WPS has three way valve inside machine which has one 220 volt coil and two 110 volt coils plus a valve at tap which is 110 volt in series with either prewash or main wash coil on valve inside machine. Part no s 4622714 for valve (with inlet hose) and 4035200 110/220 volt valve inside machine. Regards clayside

Thanks for the info clayside,

As the 4622714 valve with the inlet hose is the one not working, as it’s in series with the other inlet valve I won’t be able to confirm which of the valves is playing up until one of them fails again!
