Miele Wash Machine W2240 Not Spinning Well + Skips Times

Hi,

I’m quite picky with what Miele faults I attend. This complaint was that the drum was spinning, water seemed to drain away but clothes came out wetter than uasual. It seemed likely it was similar to others I had attended before. The cause was usually blocked pipe that goes from dispenser housing to the filter housing in older machines, attached to a ‘Y’ piece in newer machines. (I don’t know exactly the reason this creates poor spin results, but it does. Maybe someone can educate me please 😀 .)

Anyway, the pipes where exremely clogged with gunge and seemed to fix the problem, but…

The next wash it stuck at 38mins and seemed to get hot. They left it for a little time then tried again, still stuck. They left it longer and it then started up again but stopped at what they thought was at the rinses.

Spoke to them today and asked them to put on rinse only. Rang them back and it had completed the program ok and spun ok. They put it back on same wash progam as previous, spoke to them to try and coincide with the 38mins but it had a few minutes to go so rang back a little later and it had jumped to 56min.

Anyone throw any light on this (if you can decipher my explanation) please.
