    Hi,
I have a Miele Novatronic Premier 500 washing machine, 10 years old at least. The ‘drain check’ light came on a few days ago so we went through the procedure in the booklet, took out the filter, which was quite thick with gunk but no foreign objects in there. Put everything back, set for a separate rinse and all worked well with no light coming back on. Today, the same thing happened, again nothing in there but this time we took all the feed pipes off and cleaned them out. Put the machine on to rinse again and the light is back on. The book says to check the impeller moves freely and it does, but each way it seems to hit upon a little bump or notch. Could it be that and if so is it fixable? There’s nothing in the book to say what to do if clearing the drain filter doesn’t fix the problem.

If anyone can help I’d really appreciate it.

Could some debris somehow have gotten in the pump and is fouling at a certain part in the impella turning , perhaps remove it to examine it better ? if you could get a cheap part id be inclined to replace it and try that as a resort too cant be much for a second hand unt.
