miele washing machine leaking w5740

Can anybody help went to a Miele washing machine W5740. The flood protection was activated and traced fault to water coming from rubber seal fitted around water valve . Easy enough you would think but this is Miele. Fitted clip around seal and then it started to leak from soap box about an inch away from the seal where the soap box mechanism is . So think there must be a blockage in mechanism and back pressure causing leak.How do l rectify any help appreciated thanks

Look from above the soap drawer, when you select a programme the motorized water diverter should move, theres a little window that shows a number 1 2 3 etc for position of water distribution. If this doesn’t move during beginning of hot wash, then try on rinse etc, its most likely defective. You could try to dissasemble it but i’d think it may need replacing.
