I have a miele novotronic w308. It stopped taking water into the fabric conditioner compartment, so we cleaned the inlet filters etc.
It has now gone completely wrong, and doesnt take water into the main wash compartment, but takes water into the conditioner compartment!!This means that the fabric conditioner goes into the wash first now!! Can anyone throw any light on what may be causing this? As far as I can see the water seems to be going into the main washing machine ok.

Try taking out the soap draw and clean the holes inside the compartment at the top with a tooth brush as these seem to clog up.

Have already done that! The water seems to be coming into the compartments out of sync, that is, if the water comes in at all!

It sounds as though the computer has gone dippy…!

Might be best to contact Miele, as they tend to keep their spares / technical information to themselves, but offer excellent service.

Is it within the guarantee period?

Nope…it is about 3 years old…husband threw away invoice, so I’m guessing!
This sounds horribly expensive, it always is with miele!!

    How to put this gently…….

If you buy a Mercedes Benz, it’s a bit expensive to get dealer service. The Miele is the same – however, it’s a one off payment and they will fix it.

3 years old? It’s got at least another 17 to go before replacement. I suppose it’s an investment really.
