Miele WDA211 – Ticking noise

Hi folks, need some advice. I have a 3 year old Miele WDA211 which is making a ticking/clicking noise when I switch it on and select a programme (like an old mechanical timer would make).
I’ve only just noticed this and it’s working fine but I wondered if it’s a sign of impending doom or whether I should just carry on as normal and ignore it.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

a lot of miele machines have a small motor at the back of the soap draw to direct the water where its needed
its likely this is what you can hear and its normal

in a lot of machines it will fill a bit, then you hear the ticking noise, then it fills again

Dave thanks for your reply. It’s ticking from the minute that you power it on but as I say, it’s still working perfectly well 🙂

turn on the power and see if it starts ticking
if yes leave it 2 to 3 mins and see if it stops
if yes then it is the draw moving to the start position
