Hi, I have a Miele WT 2670 which I am fairly sure is out of warranty. It won’t start any of its “programmes”, giving the dreaded Technical Fault F4 Contact Technical Support. That is, you can select a programme, and set options, but once you hit start the fault appears. It is running its drain pump during this; the drain pump is happily spinning.

I think I am fairly handy, so I would love any guidance as to whether F4 is simple drain clogging or something fiddly.

    Thanks for reading,
    Rex

as far as i can see F4 seems to relate to the tumble dryer side of the machine and has to do with the air flow temp sensor

could be as simple as a broken wire

    hope this helps

but dont forget to unplug before you look

Thanks Dave, that was an awesome reply. It was in fact the thermostat in the air flow sensor; replacing it solved the problem. I think that it was shorting to the housing, as it worked when it was pulled out but still wired up, but not when it was in. Either way, the replacement one works in and out!
