    We have a Miele WT2670 which we have owned for around 7 years. Last weekend whilst in the middle of a wash it stopped with error message:

    ‘F53 – Call Miele Technical’

    I have been researching since and had a non Miele service engineer over, when he came over the machine was working, but there was a small leak which he fixed. Initially he thought it was the tacho generator, but upon using the multi meter on it he couldn’t find any faults. He said it might have been effected by the leak.

    Anyway he left and the fault came back. Now according to them I need a new motor now, as Miele don’t sell just the Tacho Generator. Would anyone have any further suggestion before I fork out £300 – £400, please?? (TBH we’ll probably just scrap the machine if it comes to that)

    I have a machine here that has the same motor, i will try and get it tested for you tommorow,..
