Mistral Plus only works in FF mode

I’ve read through the many temperature problems for this product, but have not come across anything specifically relating to the problem I have.

I have a hotpoint mistral plus 8596 that will only cool in FF mode. With FF off, both the fridge and the freezer sections temp increases.

I also find that the section between the freezer and the fridge, towards the front gets very hot.

Any ideas would be gratefully received

sound like a module/thermostat problem f/f button bypasses the thermostat allowing motor to run constantly. unplug b4 investigating.

well, first of all, id be checking the front vent

take off the kick strip on the bottom, it might well be clogged up with muck..

the trasum’s getting hot, thats possibly why the machine isnt cooling properly… there is a cooling fan which could well have failed, its external, and is seen when removing the lower back panel.

plug out if your gonna check it plz
