Mixing laundry detergent

Are there any disadvantages if I mix laundry detergents?

I sometimes have some powder left at the end of a box but it’s not enough for a full wash. Should I throw it away or can I mix it with powder from a new box of different brand? Both the powders are for whites (for example Persil and Aldi Almat).

Would the same answer apply for two different liquid detergents for non-whites?

Yes and yes. I do that all the time.

Thanks. I was a bit concerned that the different enzymes might fight and neutralise one another or that the “surfactants” might be incompatible.
