This has got to be the most manic week on the calendar! We have had it all, Customers bursting into tears on the phone when we say booked up till after christmas, panic buying of washers and cookers. Worst of all was the lady i saw today who exploded when told her neff fan motor would have to be ordered! i just cant wait for my week off!!

Merry xmas and a happy new year to you to.
It`s been the same for us too. Cookers and refrigeration for us this week along with all the usual bits on the week before xmas. Oven and cooker hood bulbs, fridge bulbs by the score not to mention loads of fan oven elements. Heating flying out the door as well.

its always odd that customers let cookers get so bad over the year then have a panic the week before xmas when they call you out cause 2 of the hob elements failed in the summer, the oven packed up in october and now they want it all fixed, TODAY!!!

Had call from customer today who I quoted for repairs to her oven this week LAST YEAR!!! Says can I order parts & fit before Christmas. 😆 😆 😆

reminds me, had one this week, called to say oven handle has fallen off, so i get one for the model, went out, they forgot to mention the handle had fallen off when the glass door had shattered!!, so no oven for xmas then!

I had a call on Wednesday, Neff oven with duff fan oven element ( sorry circotherm oven) 🙂
She is desperate to get it repaired before Christmas.
I didn’t want to risk a pattern element, ordered a gen one from Masterpart which arrived this afternoon ( excellent service ) I left several messages on her answerphone without a reply, couldn’t get her to answer the phone from 4.00 PM until about half an hour ago. She wants to leave it now, her husband didn’t think it was going to be that expensive. :rolls:
I quoted her £75.00, the damned element has cost me almost £45 including shipping. 👿
I must add that she is a really strange woman though, she has one washing machine in the house, but three tumble dryers all working in the garage, two old Hotpoint ones and a Zanussi. :rolls: ❓

Had a call today off old lady can you come and look at my sevis washer it wont work told her i dont do them( As i was staked up) she said please please and started crying on the phone.Now an old lady crying on the phone pulls at my heart strings So after 5 mins of chat and crying popped round there only to find she hadnt turned it on (Daft bat) only charged her a tenner but it was worth it as made me feel like a king. I love some of the old ones. 😀

had one this morning xmas eve told her i would be there am. when called no answer,left card she called the office she didnt expect me to call so early 8:30am :rolls: .asked if i could go back i ok’d it for the afternoon she wanted a rough time i said any time when i called guess what SHE WAS OUT 👿 . card thru the door and thats her oven screwed for xmas lunatic.

the whinging gits that i hate are the ones with range cookers,
2 ovens..1 broke 1 ok ….wheres the frignnnn problem mam you still have a working oven…
some unlucky people have none,,, so stop whinging and cook with one oven like every other person has to…
most of them are jumped up gits with some cheap ass cooker..that have only invited people round to show off there 2 ovens..
ah well its the season of good will…suppose i will need to fit them in…….
sometime end of january or something like that….
