ParticipantFew questions:
1) It says Ariston, but I guess that’s Indesit in fact. Am I right?
2) What’s short model name for this cooker? I’m trying to find service manual, any document about servicing and taking it to pieces in general, but they all are for different model naming schema. What’s the other model name, used in all documentation released by manufacturer, for this model?
3)And the reason for all these questions is ignition not working anymore on all four burners. My wife says that, while cooking, some water escaped on the top plate, then she smelled something burning and ignition doesn’t work since then. Everything else seems fine. Any advice what the reason can be?May 30, 2011 at 9:02 am #352497kwatt

If it says Ariston on it then it’s most probably an Indesit Group product but still could have been bought in.
On service manuals, please see this article.
The model number will be on the rating plate, it’s the only reliable place to get the model and serial or production numbers. Use anything else and it’s often wrong as user manuals are generic to a range normally.
Sounds as if the ignition block has gotten wet and burnt out but I’d need the model number to tell you any more.

Dear kwatt,
Thank you very much for your reply. I’m not looking for detailed walkthroughs, I’m just trying to figure out how to take the plate on the top off to have a look inside. My appliance is an integrated one and disassemble must start from the top plate, there is no other way. I earn my living from electronics, so it should be relatively easy for me to understand how it is supposed to work by just having a look. My question for a documentation is just a precaution – it’s always safer to know what one is doing rather than to undo all screws one can find straight away. Anyway – my model number is 444445124, sn 40710038. In case it can be translated to naming schema used for releasing manuals, that’s perfect. In case it can’t – I’ll manage somehow anyway.

Errr, no.
It may well be that the hob has to come out to be worked on then. Might come apart from the top, not sure.
But if I start trying to repair electronics I’m sure someone would quickly point out that I wasn’t qualified or experienced enough to do that. 😉
