    Hello there!

Please can any of you guys help me? We have a Moffat 3000 Gas Oven which is superb but needs an overhaul after nearly 30 years of sterling service. My wife cleaned it this week and the Oven timer is now making a nasty grinding sound as the digital clock rotates, also the automatic ignition for the oven has gone awol, although the grill ignition is still working. Are there any parts out there for this model? There is no “9” prefix number to be seen around the door of the oven, but the fitters instruction bok gives a B.G. number: 11-477-03.

Please help me as I believe I’m too tight too buy another oven!. If all else fails, how do I disconnect the timer so that I do not have the noise all the time I’m using the Oven?

    Thanks

    Nick

    Hi

As its a gas oven you need a CORGI registered fitter to check condition and carry out any repairs of appliance by law.

Yes, thank you Mike, I am aware of that. Now, can anyone help me with finding some parts or answering my question!

I can find no current parts listings for this oven, so presumably there is now no product support available.

The clock unit may respond to a good clean out. A gas fitter may be able to find a suitable “generic” electrode or ignitor box, but that’s probably the best you’ll be able to do.
