ParticipantAs soon as either the oven or grill are switched on they operate on full power regardless of heat setting (red light always on), even if zero temperature is selected.
The obvious thing to do was replace the thermostat, but no change. The new thermostat appears to be working at least in isolation as it clicks over when it reaches the current temperature of the oven. All connections were put back correctly when the new thermostat was installed.
Any ideas of what to try next would be greatly appreciated.

A quick update. Have visually checked both elements and also tested the continuity on both with a multimeter. No issues with either.
Still looking for a possible solution if anybody can help?

Is there a PNC number on this machine?
You are correct, it does sound like a thermostat issue and the elements will likely be okay.
And, what was it you actually changed?

As far as I know, the PNC is 949711134. I have already changed the thermostat and in isolation it appears to be working ok, i.e. it clicks over on reaching the actual temperature in the oven and appears to have good continuity.
The only other clue I have is that this problem started after something caused the oven circuit fuse to trip for the first time ever that I can remember.
Thx

Uhm, the correct thermostat is obsolete and no longer available. 😕
That begs the question, what thermostat have you got?
However it does sound like a wiring issue or possibly the main oven switch that’s faulty.

I found it, it’s been replaced with this one.
There are no known issues or notifications, dead simple stat so the problem will lie elsewhere as suggested. There’s nothing especially complex about the oven either, seems a pretty basic model so not a lot to go wrong.

Thanks for the additional info. The wiring looks ok, so probably the controller I would assume.
Do you know by any chance if these are still available?

I wouldn’t assume, I’d check. 😉
I do think it’s still available though, yes.
