MFF170W only just over 2 years old, Fridge compartment is freezing everything, Have defrosted and cleaned but no difference, Even when Temperature is set to below 0 which should switch fridge off it is still freezing everything, I have tested Bimetal Thermostat switch and the other Sensor switch in freezer area and both seem to be working, The only thing left that I can figure out is the PCB unit being faulty? Can anyone think of anything else that I should check or is there anyway of checking the PCB? Thanks for any help. Is hard to get any info of Google as most people just say to defrost F/Freezer and clean coils.

Probably the thermistor in the fridge is faulty or not reading correctly.

I’d need the 22 digit serial number to find the correct one for you.

Hello, Thanks for quick reply, Where in fridge compartment is this located as only thing I can find is the PCB board unit with light. As far as I can tell there is nothing else in fridge compartment.

Is it the Stick one or the Bimetal button one?

Kwatt is talking about a thermistor which is not bimetal but is an electronic component that varies its resistance with temperature
this feeds back to the board to allow the board to control the temp

Kwatt will prob post the part number and availability later

    It is this one:

    https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/3001491 … tor-sensor

Where it’s mounted though, not a clue as they do not show it on any of the diagrams.

It’s a case of tracing it all out to find it.
