ParticipantI am still checking out freezers, need an upright, frost free, biggest capacity I can get for reasonable price.
On the John Lewis website they have this one
John Lewis JLFZW1806 Tall Freezer, White for just under £500.Does anyone know who actually makes these goods, the description says German manufactured.
Any comments welcome.
Cheers

Well it really would be best to have asked that question in your earlier thread (to keep it nice and tidy 😉 )

Smoke and mirrors I’m afraid from John Lewis as what they actually say is…
John Lewis wrote:Manufactured with reliable German technology they are developed with the latest engineering and electronic systems.
Note that it does not say that it is manufactured in Germany. It simply alludes that the product is German.
John Lewis do that with a lot of their own stuff as it’s re-badged AEG in their eyes but to us it’s just a Zanussi and, personally, I think that that statement is very misleading to people.
Liebherr is a good bet, best way to buy Meile refrigeration without the Meile price tag. 😉

Checking the spec of the J. Lewis model, I would recommend the Bosch GSN28V00GB. Much better machine, better build and for a similar price too.

ParticipantThanks for all your help.
Have decided on the Bosch GSN32A20GB £509 from Boots Kitchen Appliances and over £40 back in advantage points. Its just slightly bigger and has a few nice features like an interior light.
Sorry about messing up the forums with 2 posts, will know better for next time.
Thanks again, your advice is invaluable.
