KeymasterI have a sniff from what could be a major source of work, maybe.
Rates have been requested as an industry standard across all brands, all products and my thinking runs…
£55 any freestanding product
£60 built-in/integrated product
+£30 for refrigerant system work
+£20 for gas product
+£40 for a 2 man job, large hoods, ranges etc. if they have to be moved to repairIs there any problem with these sorts of rates?

Oh we know them alright, there’s not so many we don’t. It just depends what dress they put on before attending the ball. 😉
As usual though I delivered a few points that we like to be stressed.
Life could get interesting with this though as the brand has some serious firepower behind it financially. Or, let me put it this way, I wouldn’t expect it to come to nothing and, I expect, the chance of not being paid or the company folding are less than zero.
As usual the order of admission will be TA, then repairs@, then a feeding frenzy with everyone else. It is only right and proper that those in at the start and supporting what we all do get first dibs.

Looking through the PDF agreement form I found this,
The ASA must provide:
7 Days per week Breakdown/Emergency Service including out of hours and Bank Holidays
• Non Emergency Repair Calls within 24 hours
• Offer AM/PM appointments
• Emergency repair calls (including serious water leaks) within 2 hoursAre they expecting this level of service?

KeymasterNo, not on DA’s.
