ModeratorBloody snow, just over six inches fell last night and still snowing. No way I can escape from here so having a peaceful read of the paper ATM. 8)

Hi Jim
Enjoy the morning off, you may be taking the whole day off if this forecast is correct. Another chilly night as well might be time for those thermals to come out of the drawer 😆

Going to make an attempt to get out shortly. Snow has eased off.
My daughter is flying home right now from Dubai, just texted her to tell her about the weather and she tells me her boyfriend is in his shorts. 😯 😆

Seems like our boys ‘up north’ are getting a fair bit of the white stuff with more to follow tomorrow? Scotland seems to be covered in it and no sign of it easing. Poor sods….
It’s dry & sunny down here at present, I think I’ll wash the van right now then sweep up a few leaves off the front lawn before Countdown comes on. 8)

Its not only Scotland covered, there is still over four inches of snow in my back garden. 😥
The skies are going a rather ominous grey colour, looks like I will be walking to my first call in the morning. 🙂

I have a daughter in Grasscroft, which is just off Oldham, and she sent me some piccies. Very pretty. Can’t be that bad if you can get hold of a copy of a daily paper.
We have had snow down here twice since the 1963 big freeze, I’m thinking if I get time on the weekend, I may mow the lawns.
We get it over Exmoor, and I remember once a customer from a Village in the middle of the moor phoned up and asked for same day service, he said “Can you call today, as I’m home because of the snow & I can’t get to work” Ruddy Hillbilly!

Main roads are clear. Side roads/estates are interesting at the moment. Haven’t had to do the tummy sliding thing to get to a job yet.

Looks like I’m not going anywhere for the moment………. A65 is stationary, back roads to Leeds are all shut.
