    Hi

I have a customer CDA motor in my work shop & the front motor bearing has gone, I am struggling to get the motor pulley off, tried 3 times method:
Blow torch (red hot pulley) three legged puller & can’t get the pulley to move !!

I know most of the motor shafts now days have teeth on, & the pulley’s are pressed on in the production process.

Anyone had any luck removing pulleys, this was never a problem with the larger pulleys on the old induction motors.
    😡
    Thanks !

Last time I managed it was with an old Hotpoint about twenty years ago when they had flats on the end of the pulley. You’ll probably end up destroying the windings with heat or pressure if it hasn’t happened already.

I tried on a Servis induction motor just the once and it wouldn’t budge.
If yours is that hard to get off could you get it back on again?

    It’s OFF !!
    😆
Borrowed a hydraulic puller and it came off, did not even have to heat it up.

Think I now need to puchase a HYDRAULIC PULLER KIT !! 😛
