Saw on another thread that Phidom is moving to Hungary, and others may be giving some thought to changing,or opting out of this work.
Certainly gets frustrating on domestic stuff at times although there are still what could be termed regular repairs.
Drifted into light commercial refrigeration and air conditioning installation a good few years ago and having taken my F-gas qualification it has opened up a bit of a new market which has kept up my interest although I do still do 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} domestic.
Have also made a few guitars (acoustics) Fender etc won’t be quaking in their boots just yet, satisfying to play one though
having put 50 hours or so into building it,couldn’t make a living doing that in this current climate.
Just over a year to go to draw the pension but apart from taking
a bit more time off for cycling I can’t see myself not picking up my tool bag of morning, health permitting of course.

We are of a very similar age and mindset my friend. Though I won’t join you on a bike I may well take advantage of my Bus Pass and tour the countryside at a leisurely pace! 8)

Didn’t I hear something about them pensioner bus passes being a victim of “the cuts”?
PS Martin, did you get my e-mail re TDS?
