    Hi

I have recently moved and have a ADP8332 (I think according to picture on MFI website) fitted in my kitchen. From reading the various posts I found out Diplomat appliances are sold or manufactured by MFI.

I have absolutely no idea how to use this machine. I have tried contacting MFI for an owners manual but they told me the kitchen wasnt fitted by MFI?? Cut a long story short they wouldnt send me a owners manual.

Please would any of you guys be able to tell me how to use this machine or where I could obtain an owners manual. I have never owned a dishwasher until now so its all very unfamiliar to me and machines seem to always need repairs after I have tried to use them, so Im need of some detailed instructions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi ATZ

We’ll need the correct model number from the rating plate, from memory it’s on the left hand side of the inner door lip. 😉

Hiya, I’ve waited a long time for a question to come up that I can answer.
Your machine is made by Whirlpool and the 12 digit model number should be 854500215820.
Dead simple machine to use. Press and hold the start button till the light goes out, press the button to the left of start to select the programme you want, press the start button, light comes on, close the door and away it goes. On/Off button is on the left side of the control panel top.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi guys,

First off i wanna say thanks K & DP for the replies!!
My machine is definately a ADP8332, got that off the inner lip of the door (thanks K). The number you quoted is exactly the same DP thanks for that.

OK so I now know how to start and choose a program on the machine, but……

I wish the ground opens opens up and swallows me after I ask these questions, but I totally don’t have a clue.
Where would I put the soap? Ive read in other posts something about rinse agent, where in earth would this go? Also is there anything else I would need to know before I have go at destroying my dishwasher??

    Thanks again guys

Hi ATZ I’m not familiar enough with the Whirlpool ones to advise properly but DP has vast experience with them as do some of the other guys who may be able to shed some light for you.

But essentially, grey square thing in the middle of the door… two section, big one for powder and the little “resovoir” is for the rinse aid, you need both in it to work. Inside the big one is two sections, one for main wash (the bigger) and one for pre wash (the smaller), pre wash is only used on an intensive cycle usually denoted by a picture of pots.

Rinse aid goes in the other bit, you need that so you don’t get streaks and there should be some form of adjustment there too.

You also may need salt, depending on the hardness of your water, that’s the big screw off bit inside with a big “S” on it. 😉 Just fill it up.

    Hope that’s clear. 😕

And don’t be tempted by the 3-in-1 tablets that claim to do it all for you. Stick withe separates and it’ll work fine.

KW got it right. The dispenser in the door, open the right hand flap and pour rinse aid in there, carefully though. Try not to spill any into the machine as this could cause you problems when you wash. There’s an indicator to show the level of rinse aid. The black switch numbered 1 to 5 (or 6) should be set to 3 for normal water area, less for soft water and more for hard water.
Open the left hand flap and put your powder in there. Close the flaps, switch on, select your program and press start. Shut the door and it’ll wash the dishes for you.
You don’t need to select the program every time you use it, it should remember the last program used so it’s a case of switch on, press start and shut the door.
    Hope this helps.
