    this has happened to me as well .fitted non gen twice, both failed within a couple of weeks gone back and fitted genuine caps ,no recall.m

    sold three creda condensor dryers new all three had cap failure within 6 months

    as for capacitor value the higher the value of the capacitor you put in the lower the effective resistance will be

    to the formula 1/ 2 pi F C

    pi = 3.14
    f = frequency of supply
    c= capacitance in Farads

    7uf = 454 ohms
    8uf = 397 0hms

    you can see the difference so you cant go too far also if you put a value that is a long way out and somthing goes wrong you might get the blame
