Please help me, I really need some advice!
I have a SMEG dual fuel single oven (gas hobs & electric oven), model number SUK61MFA5.
The gas hobs, the oven fan and the grill all work – but the oven is not heating up (on the fan oven setting). Here is what happens:
When I switch it to the fan assisted setting (the circle with the fan in it) (the instruction manual calls this setting ‘Ventilated Heating Element + Ventilation’), then the thermostat orange light clicks on and the fan goes on, but even after 30 minutes I can touch the back panel. Does this mean that the heating element is gone?
When I try the ‘Upper & Lower Heating Element’ setting (the two lines setting) then it does heat up (albeit slowly) – is that just because it is a different heating element?
If so, which part (ideally a SMEG part rather than a copy part) do I need? And where is the cheapest place to find it?
And then how do I fit it myself?
Here’s hoping that someone might be able to help me out with this…

Yes mummy you need the fan element replacing.
