I have a model MW059NZ F&P Smartdrive 5.5 Kg washing machine which had a blown motor controller board which was subsequently replaced. Now the machine display works ok but water fills in spurts, and agitator does not seem to move at all although I can hear it trying to turn.
At first I thought it was the RPS but from the diagnostics mode, the error code is 00000000 ie. no lights on !!!
The OOB and lid switch checked out okay, pump resistance is okay and runs in diagnostics mode, motor winding resistance and check valves are also okay (they open / close in diagnostics).
I can select any combination form the display but all it does is just fill water in spurts and then the machine beeps and displays 11000001 error code (right to left on display), although no error code is displayed in diagnostic mode !!!
Size setting and controller board reset carried out as required but no change , even all wires, terminals test okay……
    PLS HELP……

11000001 ain’t an error code. 10000011 is – Rotor position sensor error as you have already surmised. Everytime it tries and fails to operate the motor, you will get the brief shut-down. RPS is prone to corrosion and wiring problems, component may fail. Worst case is board failure. Given that you have replaced it, are you certain it was a direct replacement? There are different versions over the years. Also, consider, why did the original board blow?

PM noted – it’s been a long day so far……….
