    Hello,

My Dad’s Bosch avantixx freezer is too warm, I have it on the lowest setting but the temperature is roughly the same as a fridge. The temperature light is flashing.

The back isn’t dusty, the door seal seems okay, it isn’t overloaded, ventilation isn’t obstructed.

At the back and base of appliance there is a container (containing water?) from which a pipe leads into the back of the freezer. This container is hot to touch, about as hot as touching a just made cup of tea or coffee.

Should it be this hot, could this be the culprit? Or does anyone have any other ideas?

    Thanks for any advice.

sorry just seen this as i tend to skim over fridge problems

the fact this water is warm tells me the compressor is either on or running. That eliminates all conrol faults so you problem is lack of gas or faulty compressor

most time unless its a very expensive unit its not worth repairing
