ParticipantMy 10 year old Siemens SE56590GB/07 dishwasher has no signs of life. I put it on at bedtime and got up the next morning and the house fuse breaker had tripped. When I got the electricity going everything was ok except the dishwasher which is dead with some dirty water still in the bottom. Don’t think the cycle had got going far as dishes still dirty.
I checked the fuse in the plug, checked the impeller( it moves and is not fouled). I haven’t checked the hose as I am not a plumber and don’t want to flood the cupboard with smelly water.
I read on another post with a tripped out dishwasher that the problem could be the suppressor. Where is this located and what does it look like? How can I tell if it is faulty? Are they easy and cheap to replace? I really don’t want to get Siemens in if I can sort out a small fault.
PS I am a not too techie female so please keep things simple.
Thanks so much for advice.

Hi
Sorry you have not had a reply to your question as yet, but you have to remember that the engineers who answer the many questions day in and day out do not login to the site everyday, they do have their own paying customers to look after first, after all the bils do need to be paid 😉 any help they give on here is given for free and in their own time contrary to popular belief.
Not only that but not all engineers cover every make so you will need to keep popping back from time to time over the next few days to see if you get any responses. There are quite a few engineers that cover the BSH group of appliances, I am sure one of them will be able to help.
Don 🙂
