I have an Indesit HS2321L integrated fridge. The fridge is continuously on and doesn’t switch off when it reaches the set temperature so the food freezes. I have measured the resistance of the thermistor and it is 12.5k ohms when warm and 45k ohms when left to cool for about an hour. When I switch off and leave the door open the resistance starts decreasing. I’m assuming the thermistor is ok and the controller card needs replacing. I contacted Hotpoint and they said they would need to send an Engineer to replace it as he would have to programme the new controller.

If I bought a second hand controller would I need to re-programme it?

    Kind Regards

Hi. Could also be a system fault. Depending on where the sensor is. If you can find a secon hand pcb for the same model it should fit. If you have to program ine shot cards ar 15-25 pounds plus you need the programmer. 100 ish.
