……………now waters coming thru the ceiling!

Went to a peach of a job this morning. Whirlpool AWG995 Washer Dryer in the bathroom upstairs of all places. The lady of the house spotted the machine was leaking and alerted her husband. He turns the machine off, lifts the lid and spots a split internal inlet pipe. Goes to the local Auto Dealers and buys a length of rubber hose and replaces the 2 hoses that go to the dispenser and to the condenser……JOB DONE…he thinks?

Next day wife puts machine on and goes shopping…………..comes home hours later, the electrics are out and water leaking from the ceiling…calls her husband at work who tells her to give me a bell…..?

I get out there……what a mess………water everywhere. Machines electrics(Timer/Thermostat/Push Button Switches/Heater etc etc) all saturated due to a burst condenser pipe)…….ceiling will need to be replaced, floorboards lifted the whole works!!!!!

We all know what the problem was originally don’t we?………….NO?……..Well OK just in case you don’t….simply a blocked condenser inlet nozzle, furred up. Dryer comes on, water fills pipe, pipe under pressure………POP!

Nice one. I did think of photographing it to show but the customer was in a right state not to mention her house!
