    Hello there,

I’ve given loads of you advice on detergents over the past few months, now comes the payback!

Can I seek your advice on the current crop of built in products for my kitchen? I am re-fitting and I need single or double oven (electric), hob (gas), hood, microwave and dishwasher together with a free standing ‘American’ type fridge. Unfortunately ISE appliances do not have any in the range yet so I will have to look elsewhere and order from an indy. If you have any good prices my e-mail is gdownes@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

    cheers

    George

Well George, to help narrow your options down a bit:-

Can I suggest you opt for a double oven in a wall unit rather than one fitted under the worktop for starters? (Don’t buy a white one as they turn yellow 3 years down the line.) A double oven gives greater cooking flexibility, and removes the need for bending when installed at eye level 😉

Gas hob every time (it’s what professional cooks insist on for obvious reasons) Don’t be talked into those flashy ‘induction hobs’ either as they are just boys toys by comparison. (Also bugger all use when the lights go out at dinner time) 😆

Bosch/Neff/Siemens for your laundry equipment of course!

A simply 750watt microwave without those ‘touch controls’ which you would otherwise spend 3 minutes pressing just to warm a cup of milk!

Finally, a Maytag (or Admiral) American fridge (make sure it has a water filter fitted and able to dispense crushed ice)

    Hope that helps?

no, no, no, no, no. :lesson:

For laundry equipment, I would suggest the ISE w/machine.
1500 rpm, quiet, AAA rated. All round a very good machine and it comes with 5 year parts 😉
I have two in stock if you are interested

This is probably not the best site to ask about integrated appliances as they are a nightmare for the repairer. My record is 2 hours to renew a leaky inlet hose on a washing machine, 2 minutes working on the repair, 1hr 58 dismantling and rebuilding the kitchen 😉

    I love ’em!

People pay more to have ’em fixed! 😉

Although when you do get a problem getting them out they can be a pig I will admit.

Oh and George, don’t forget wall to wall ceramic floor tiles so your appliances can be easily removed should they ever fail?
