Re: Mystery Neff built in, single oven.

I am beginning to regret getting involved with this one. 😥

Ever since I fitted the new stat the customer has complained that it was taking far to long to heat up.

Just been back to it and it does appear that the new stat is faulty.

Set oven control to max (190°), after about 6 or 7 minutes the oven indicator light goes out, oven thermometer reading 120°. If left the oven indicator light keeps going on and off every minute or so ( I can hear the stat operating) thus taking about 35 to 40 minutes to reach full temp.

It could just be a faulty stat but when I initially ordered this from Masterpart as an 081958, Masterparts system changes it to an 073638. Can anyone confirm that this is a correct substitute for the original 190° stat?

    Jim.

If you input 073638 to BSH online it shows it as sub for 081958. But if you feed in 081958 it is shown as still available, so take that it should be ok as replacement. I take that fan is running at full speed, oven has correct wattage element and door closes ok. Clayside

The element is fine, in fact the original complaint was one of overheating, caused by local cowboy fitting a second hand stat that had a completely different rating. Element is original, fan motor is running smoothly and customer confirms that it is always running and door closes perfectly. Before I fitted this stat it was reaching temp then going well over in a normal time frame.

Guess Its my just lucky day. 😥
