Mystery symbol on Diplomat ADP8234

Our Diplomat ADP8234 is displaying a symbol on the control panel. It looks like three wavy vertical lines with an “X” through them, and next to it a “1/2”.

I’ve been through the manual a dozen times and can’t find any reference to this symbol. I’m assuming it’s some sort of error message or fault alert. Anyone able to tell me what the machine’s trying to say?

The wavy lines usually mean “Drying” so I would assume that it means no drying and you have it on half load.

Error messages on those take the the form of “E*” in the display where “*” is a numeral.
