    Hi,

    My fridge freezer suddenly started making a horrible noise so I turned it off to let it settle for a while…
    … now it is back on and the compressor is making quite a loud vibrating noise. It also seems to be on continually (since yesterday) and the freezer section is not very cold.

    Nothing seems to be loose around the back, the noise is coming directly from the compressor.

    What are the likely causes and are they fixable??

    It sounds very much like the compressor has failed or is failing I’m afraid which will mean a new appliance in all honesty.

    To ensure a 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} diagnosis though if you need one please check repairs@
