The hinge on our cooker has fractured and the door isn’t closing properly.

Can someone please assist with the actual Nardi part numbers that I need for this cooker as I have seen a couple of different ones and obviously don’t want to waste my time getting the wrong one sent.

    Many thanks

    Hi,

You will need both this hinge and also this hinge.

Both are UK stock (for now) so should only take a few days. Nardi stuff, when it goes out of stock, is a nightmare with really long lead times.

Many thanks for that info, have ordered and now look forward to the joy of fitting.

Do they come with some decent instructions on fitting, or is it in the form of a Krypton Factor test? 🙂

Took me a while but I finally sussed how this works.

Be careful with the hinges as they are built around strong springs, and no one needs to get hurt doing this job.

    1. Open the oven door to its full extent.

    2. Assuming that the hinges are not actually totally defunct, Hook the small latch loops on the bottom hinge section onto the hook on the top hinge section, this hold the springs in place. Now lift the door and with a little jiggling and pulling it should come out of its hinges.

    3. Remove the front glass panel. 2 screws behind the handle and 2 on the bottom of the door.

    4. Remove the screws holding the hinges in place.
    5. Remove the hinges and replace with new one(s).
    6. Replace the front glass panel.

    7. Now to get the door back on, you need to hook the hinges up as per when the door was removed, not too hard but be careful.

    8. Put the lower hinge and the sprung arm back into the holes in the cooker body, This will give you a open oven door.

    9. Remove the latch loops from the hooks and you are good to go.

Now I need to get a door lining strip, another thing we didn’t get in our house purchase price!!

Hope this is helpful, and detailed enough.

The most important thing is the hooking of the spring arm onto the retaining clips.
