ParticipantHi all, I’m after a bit of help. The washer drum does not turn when loaded but the motor buzzes as if it’s trying. It works ok and goes through all it’s cycles when empty.
The belt and drum bearings are ok.
I suspect an electronic drive fault but being from a mech background don’t know what it could be. I found a PCB board (ELMARC H7.9 1000rpm DMPA) and what I think is a mains rectifier (PROCOND ELETTRONICA 411312431, SH 0.47micra F (X2), 2×0.025 micra F (Y2), HMF 25/100/21C).
Could it be one of these items? If so how do I test?
Cheers!

Induction motor machine. If the motor is humming, it will almost certainly the start/run capacitor which has failed, especially if the drum willl turn without load. THIS should be the one for your appliance – check the rating on the existing one first.
Power off before sticking fingers in.

Hi,
I done a search for a part number and found this thread. Our Servis washer dryer (S900) recently packed up and on closer inspection it seems the mains filter has burnt out.
The part number on it is 411312431 which matches lordi’s description, and so I’m on the look out for a new supressor as soon as possible.
@Penguin45, I notice you’ve linked up to the 22uf supressor, now I’m not doubting you for a second, but how does this match up with the specifications written on the unit ( SH 0.47micra F (X2), 2×0.025 micra F (Y2) ) etc? Genuinely confused so if you could educate me on how to read these values, it would be appreciated! 🙂Second question, as I’m after this part asap I wondered if this part from Maplin would work (apologies if this violates any forum rules) http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Mod … Code=RG68Y ?
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Digitalface – the part quoted below is a capacitor for the motor. If the suppressor (cylinder that the mains power lead runs into) has gone, then you need a totally different part.
Email spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and they’ll get you the part. Do not order a capacitor from Maplin unless you want to save on fireworks for 5th November by blowing up your PCB!

ParticipantYeah, it’s definitely the supressor (mains input goes directly to it, then from supressor to the control pcb etc).
Cheers for your advice, shall send them an email now 🙂
