ParticipantHi,
I moved into a house with the Necht wqp12-9319 dishwasher already fit into the kitchen. It’s worked fine for us for the last 18 months or so but recently after any cycle the inside of the dishwasher stinks, the dishes/plates etc all stink too with a sort of slimy pond or wet dog smell, it’s gotten to the stage where our cupboards actually smell because of the smell on the plates. Also, if there’s an item with a bit of water left on (not fully dried) it’s got a slimy texture to it however everything looks sparkling clean which I find very odd! It’s almost as if there’s an egg stuck in there somewhere.
Here’s what I know/have checked/done so far:
I have fully cleaned out the filter and round door seals and any other areas immediately accessible inside the d/w.
I have adjusted the salt and rinse aid levels to various settings, though we live in a moderately soft water area so very little salt is required.
I have used multiple d/w cleaning products such as Dr Beckman intensive cleaner, descalers, etc none of them seem to work.
The dishwasher drains fine, very rarely is there any water left in the filter/sump area.
The drain attaches, along with our washing machine, above the u bend under our main sink which I have checked thoroughly for any debris or backflow into the drain pipe, it all smells and looks good down there.
I have also checked the supply which seems to be in working order.
My next move was to try get into the sump from inside the dishwasher but its quite awkward so, besides pulling the whole lot out and starting to dismantle the dishwasher I am stumped, if anyone has had a similar issue with the Necht I’d appreciate any comments regarding your experience!!
Thanks,

Thanks for the link Iadom, though other than pointing out how poor Necht appliances are I can’t find anything to help me on there!

Jim’s point is there’s not a scrap of info available for Necht so support for any of their machine is usually tantamount to zero.
It’s an own label brand, it will be something else, probably a Chinese dishwasher from one of the usual suspects but what it is, what’s in it etc… your guess is likely as good as ours.
It will be something in it or it could be leaking into the base, the Chinese dishwashers are good at that. But beyond that and what you’ve done without knowing what it is, it’s hard to offer much more.

Ok thanks fellas, looks like I’ll have to bite the bullet and pull the lot out.
