    Hi There
I have the above dish washer which I have owned since April last year and have not had any problems with it. Over the last couple of days the dishwasher has started tripping out the RCD on my fuse box whilst working. I noticed this morning that water started to leak on the floor from the front door and on further investigation found that it was coming from somewhere inside the door panel because when i put my hand in there it was heavily condensated along with all the wires which I believe must be tripping the power.
Does anybody have any ideas what could suddenly be causing this fault as I can not see anywhere a leak could get into that area apart from the soap dispencer tray

It’s a Haier Chinese dishwasher in a skirt…….. Quite frankly it can (and often does) leak from anywhere. Door latch opening, soap dispenser, tin plate door hinges buckling and door seal at the bottom will all put water on the floor; the overflow tubes will fill the tray under the machine with alarming regularity, although stopping using multi-function tablets will alleviate that particular problem slightly.

However, it’s not a year old yet, so send for the cavalry as you’re under guarantee.

Power off if you are investigating.

The water is defo coming out via the door latch opening because of the water stain and soap debri stains in that area beyond the water seal. My engineer has not been back in touch to say when he is coming but is there a fix to stop this happening?

    Thanks in advance

Presumably the door latch loop need setting back a little too pull the door in more closely.

That seams to have cured it Ive also tightened up the door wires as well to make it close tighter as well.

    Thanks

20 mins into the programme i get an E3 error and it stops.

The washer is empty of water but i have noticed that the water before it stops is freezing cold.

Re: Necht wqp12-9319 tripping the RCD power in house

E3 is no rise in temperature detected in the time allowed. Heater fault, safety thermostat tripped/failed or pcb failure all possible culprits.

    Power off, if investigating.

Alana, check the “Professional Advice” sticky at the top of the forum – we can’t walk you through it step by step.

I can tell you that the heater and stats can all be accessed from beneath the machine and that the heater should show a resistance reading when tested with a meter.

If you can’t do this, you must consider pro help – click the link below to find an engineer in your area. Whether there’s one who’ll take on Chinese dishwashers is a slightly different question.

I’m sorry to say that these are a deeply flawed machine in both design and execution; the first year failure rate is over 80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}…….. There are far better appliance available for little more money.
