ParticipantAs above please, I need to source a replacement unit and I would like the genuine Hanning product. I bought one online already and it arrived yesterday, however it does not have any product markings anywhere on it to indicate that it is a Hanning unit, it is also cheaply made in comparison to the OEM unit and weighs less too. I paid £70 so am quite annoyed about this and the fact that the company selling it are doing so under the guise that it is a genuine part. A quick google shows that there are loads of similarly styles sites selling the same product in the same manner which makes me even more suspicious.
Can you source the original Hanning ones still? It is for a Bosch washing machine.
Thanks.

ParticipantDid you order the genuine Bosch part? If so, it’s not the retailers fault. Pumps often come from different manufacturers under the same part number. Bosch will order thousands at a time and they’ll go for what’s cheapest in order to increase profit margin for themselves. As the white goods industry has become more and more competitive, costs have been cut. It’s possible all new Bosch machines are now fitted with cheap “no brand” pumps and they’ve used the same manufacturer to stock up the parts warehouse once the Hanning ones ran out.

ParticipantI understand why you feel aggrieved but as said it could well be the real thing and Bosch, or Hanning have changed their supplier. As a side note, I’d be quite happy using a pattern part for the drain pump as it’s a very simple part and not safety critical.

Participant1)What is the part number in full of the pump you bought 2) and from where i.e. company name of the supplier.3) model number in full of your machine 4) supply a photo of your new pump if you like. The numbers on the original pump is not necessarily the part number used for retail sales.
